Blended learning is a unique concept in the First aid field. For the first time in Alberta, you can be certified in Standard First Aid and CPR A with a combination Of online theory and classroom learning in a blended program! Students will be learn essential information to help them respond quickly and suitably to sudden injuries or medical emergencies. The innovative learning tools they receive combine a number of powerful techniques to embrace this first aid knowledge.
WHO WILL BENEFIT:
This program will be a very convenient way for an individual to learn first aid skills. For the general public, it demonstrates how to prevent and handle family, sports and home emergencies in an effective way. It is also designed for the workplace, highlighting common industrial accidents and risk prevention.
There are two components to the Blended Online program:
a) ONLINE PORTION
Enrol in the online version to watch modules on first aid topics using interactive videos on a variety of topics. This section is very handy to conduct on your own schedule,and at your own home or facility. It benefits employers who wants consistent training standards for their staff. The online portion has a verifiable testing procedure. No need for transportation to a classroom, meals or accommodations, as you learn ini the comfort of your own office or home. The online learning section takes 6.5 hours plus. Answer the quiz for the sections and pass with an 80% mark. Print out the completion report and email it to Allstar Enviro Safety at firstname.lastname@example.org Print it out and bring to the classroom to be part of the hands on practical day.
b) CLASSROOM PORTION
Contact Allstar Enviro Safety in advance to book a time and location for the classroom section. The benefits of this section is that the learner can do the practical hands-on skills in a group setting with other first aiders so that realistic simulations can take place with others. The physical skills will be combined with first aid scenarios to test the learners reactions to mocked up emergencies. The hands on standard first aid skills are 6.5 plus hours in length. A closed book test will be written. Once passed, a 3 year permanent Standard First Aid CPR ticket will be awarded, from IPSR. This is under the auspices of Global Training Centre. It is an Alberta Workplace Government approved course.

This program was designed by IPSR (Inter Provincial Safety Resources and is under the auspices of Global Training Centre. Courses are taught by an approved instructor from Allstar Enviro Safety. It is approved as a Workplace Standard First Aid program by the Alberta Government.
To pass, the online program must be completed with an 80% pass mark, and a completion report given to Allstar Enviro Safety to be allowed into the classroom portion.Please email the completion report in advance for our records as well. Once the classroom program is done and the exam is written, the student is then certified and awarded their card with a 3 year expiry.
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY: Cancellation can be done UP to 5 business days prior to the seminar for a Full refund less a docking fee for credit card transactions . Such requests must be made by phone, via a confirmed conversation with the Allstar Enviro Safety representative or in writing (email or letter that is confirmed as received).
Students who register WITHIN the 5 business days prior to the seminar can submit a request in writing (email or letter that is confirmed as received) to the Allstar Enviro Safety representative for a one month credit for that course or one of equal value. Qualified substitutions of candidates can attend the program instead, with permission of the Instructor.
Students who withdraw the day before the class without substitution will forfeit their payment. Students who do not attend the course with no notice or are over 30 minutes late will forfeit their payment.
Allstar Enviro Safety and it’s representatives assume the right to cancel or substitute a course in which minimum registration is not met or for unforeseen circumstances. We will make our best effort to rebook the program, when possible and to advise the students or employers of the cancellation or date change.
