This 45-minute course covers the following Key changes in the OHS legislation:
- Joint Health and Safety Committee and Health and Safety Representative
- Health & Safety Programs
- Potentially Serious Incidents
- Disciplinary Action Complaints
- Dangerous Work Refusals
- Process for acceptance, allowances, and approvals
- Radiation protection laws
For supervisors, leaders, municipal health and safety professionals.
COURSE TOPICS
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Define the new or updated terms of contracting employer, construction work site, serious incident, potentially serious incident, disciplinary action, and undue hazard.
- Recognize 5 key topic areas that have changed in the Alberta OHS Act.
- Recognize 3 key topic areas that have changed in the Alberta OHS Code.
- Recognize 5 key topic areas that have changed in the Alberta WCB legislation.
- Use self-assessment questions to assess whether each change might impact their organization.
- Determine what additional resources, including courses, they need to fully assess the impact of the legislative changes.

Complete the course AND pass the exam (80%)
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Participants who achieve 80% on the final exam will be awarded a certificate.
