COURSE OVERVIEW
Many types of lifts can be used on a worksite. In this training, we’ll be focusing on the boom lift, which is also commonly referred to as a man lift or cherry picker. These machines are highly useful when working in hard-to-reach areas, but as with all heavy equipment, there are important safety considerations and potential risks that must be understood and managed.
This Boom Lift Safety course is designed to provide a strong foundation in safe operating practices. By the end of this course, participants will be able to identify the uses of mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), understand the parts of a boom lift, and apply essential safety measures to minimize hazards. This course also covers required personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard awareness, and safe operational principles.
Learners will engage with activities, self-assessment questions, and a final exam to reinforce their understanding.

Approximately 90 minutes
PASS MARK
A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. Participants are able to repeat the test up to three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
