COURSE OVERVIEW

Welcome to your hours of service training course. We will discuss how to protect yourself and others on the road from the dangers of fatigue using hours of service regulations and procedures set out by Transport Canada and your employer.

We know that as a driver you are committed to getting the job done as efficiently as possible. However, there’s always a safe way and an unsafe way to transport goods. Being tired on the road is unsafe and never worth the risk.

As you’ll see, there are consequences for not following the hours of service regulations over and above the physical dangers. Violations cause repercussions for you and your employer that can affect your driving record for years to come. You must know exactly how to avoid these violations so you can arrive at your destination safely and confident that your driving record is clean and you’re doing your part for road safety.
