COURSE OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Fundamental Components of a Safety Program is to provide employees with basic health and safety information required by WorkSafeBC. This course will review various roles and responsibilities, workers’ rights, hazard control, prevention of workplace violence, accident reporting and more. By providing this foundational knowledge, the program helps ensure a safer work environment for all employees.
COURSE TOPICS
The objectives of the Fundamental Components of a Safety Program are designed to equip employees with essential health and safety knowledge in compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations. This course aims to clarify various roles and responsibilities within the workplace, ensuring that everyone understands their obligations to maintain a safe environment. Additionally, it seeks to empower employees by educating them about their rights under occupational health and safety legislation. Participants will learn effective strategies for hazard control, gain insights into preventing workplace violence, and understand the proper procedures for accident reporting.
